Description
A pretty Antique Arts and Crafts pendant fashioned in 9ct Yellow Gold and suspended from chains with a deep violet Amethyst at the top, white Pearls along the chains and a gorgeous heart cut Paste ganging below which simulates a large green Tourmaline.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the womens Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The pendant is complete with Birmingham hallmarks on the back which date the piece to 1912 and the makers initials of the Rolason Brothers of Birmingham. Its a fabulous piece of history and accompanied by a fine Gold chain to display it on.
