This brooch is hand carved from bull mouth shell, very well
executed and has developed a lovely smoothness to it with age.
It is set in a lovely rolled gold engraved frame that sets
this fabulous cameo brooch off.
The carving displays lovely high relief carved ringlets, a
goddess of night and sea.
A star is set on her head and an anchor on her left shoulder.
