Description
This fabulous little antique Victorian locket is fully hallmarked and dated Chester 1916.
The piece features a lovely engraved border with an image of a swallow and flowers on the front and back.
Swallows are known to mate for life and therefore symbolise love and faithfulness. The image of a swallow was popular during the Victorian era and was often gifted as a romantic token.
The piece is stamped -375- for 9ct Gold which has turned a lovely rosy colour with age.
A sweet antique locket and highly collectable.
