This fabulous pair of Antique French double drop earrings are from the early 20th Century, Circa 1915. Both are adorned with two magnificent royal blue Sapphires which are approx. 1.75ct each (approx. 3.5ct total) and showcased in a Platinum claw setting which allows light to pass through the side and back of the stone.
Blue Sapphire is said to be a stone of truth, wisdom and strength and has been adored throughout history for its deep royal blue colouring which was considered a reflection of the sky and the heavens, making it divine.
Two twinkling Brilliant cut Diamonds sit above the Sapphire and are 0.08ct and 0.06ct (approx. 0.28ct across both earrings).
They are a stunning pair and fitted with secure lever back fittings which are complete with French Platinum hallmarks.
