Description
An exquisite, long Antique Georgian Guard chain from the early 1800s made up of beautiful star stamped 18ct Yellow Gold snake links with larger twisted links along its length.
The chain is complete with a claw clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a Muff to keep the wearers hands warm in winter.
It has a lovely weight to it and the links articulate smoothly together. Its of very high quality and can be worn as one long chain or looped twice around the neck.
