Description
A fascinating antique Georgian pendant depicting a hand clenched in a fist. Its been expertly hand carved from a section of bone and is mounted on top of a pinchbeck fob with intricate, ornate patterning all round.
A blank agate seal can also be found at the bottom and was commonly engraved with a person’s signature or perhaps a sentimental message or image which could then be stamped in sealing wax on important documents.
The pendant has been beautifully preserved from the early 19th Century and is a wonderful piece of history that would make a perfect addition to a collection.
