This wonderful antique Gold and Pinchbeck necklace is Georgian, Circa 1800.
The grand piece is set in Pinchbeck, gilded in 18ct Yellow Gold and consists of beautiful patterned links leading to a large engraved barrel clasp
The piece also features a solid 18ct Yellow Gold heart pendant which is set with a fabulous 0.80ct flat cut Garnet
The Garnet has been adored throughout history for its blazing red colour which hides beneath its dark surface. It is said to be a stone of purity, truth and a symbol of love and compassion.
Georgian pieces of this quality are hard to come by, its truly one of a kind!

Measures 16 inches in length.
Barrel clasp measures 20mm across x 16mm down x 16mm depth.
Heart measures 14mm across x 15mm down.
