This fabulous Georgian is set with a central Yellow Topaz Paste Stone, Circa 1800.
The ring is set with a beautiful Topaz Paste Stone that is over 6.5ct in size.
The ring is set in 18ct Gold and has developed a rosy hue with age.
A beautiful original shank compliments the gallery.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
This is a spectacular ring that looks wonderful when worn.
It is steeped in history from its time.
