This beautiful antique 15ct Yellow Gold Cameo brooch is genuine Victorian Circa 1880.
The central Cameo is expertly carved from a Bullmouth Shell depicting a lovely portrait of an elegant lady with carved ringlets set into the carving.
The fabulous Bullmouth Shell has been popular for many years as a base for Cameo carvings for its beautiful natural patterning which takes expert skill to carve.
The brooch is set in a decorative ornate 15ct Yellow Gold frame and fully hallmarked on the reverse.
Purchased in London and steeped in English history.
Would look stunning on a lapel, a truly elegant piece of Victorian history.
Weighs 13.3 grams.
