Description
A romantic antique Victorian gate bracelet from the late 19thCentury made up of crimped 15ct gold gate links with rows of flowers across the centre bar, all held by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp at the end.
Heart padlocks were often gifted by Victorian gentleman to their loved ones during long periods of separation. It was a symbol of the couples strong love and commitment to one another, reminding the recipient that they may be gone, but their heart will always be with them.
It has a good weight and pleasing patina and would make a special gift for the one you love most.
