Description
This delightful pair of antique 18ct Yellow Gold drop earrings are Victorian Circa 1900.
The earrings feature two fancy golden droppers which have been beautifully engraved with images of winged Cherubs.
Cherub or Putto has been depicted in western art throughout history and has become an iconic religious image present in many paintings, sculptures and jewellery pieces.
One image depicts a Cherub walking through the woods with a long object over his arm, the other is laying on a bed of flowers.
The earrings are 18ct Yellow Gold and fitted with long shepherd hook wires.
A fabulous antique pair and complete with original box with cream velvet interior to store them in.
Weigh 4 grams together.
Measure 14mm across x 24mm down
Both in Excellent condition.
