An exquisite Antique late Victorian brooch claw set with a magnificent oval cut Amethyst at its heart which weighs an impressive 30ct (approx.)
The Amethyst has a desirable purple hue and is in excellent condition though there is a small natural hairline inclusion under the surface which isnt noticeable when worn.
Its set in an outstanding frame which features lovely ornate engraving and metalwork modelled skilfully in 18ct Yellow Gold. Its a beautiful find and fitted with a newer safety clasp to hold it secure.
