This fabulous Antique Victorian large hand carved
bull mouth shell cameo brooch is Circa 1860
Beautiful all round detail of a very well executed hand
carved Cameo depicting a praying angel at a grave
A wonderful mythological scene.
The carving is beautifully carved with high relief workmanhip on the shell.
Set in a lovely pinchbeck frame which is gilded in 18ct gold.
Small solder marks on the reverse this is minimal wear for such an old cameo brooch.
This has been in my own personal collection for 20 years and have decided to sell it.
Weighs 30.6 grams
Excellent condition, no cracks or damage to the shell.
Extremely collectable and sought after world wide.
Measures over 2.5 inches down and 2 1/4 inches across.
Looks fabulous when worn
Steeped in English history.
