This beautiful Antique Victorian cameo swivel brooch locket has been commissioned in Bullmouth Shell with a 9ct Yellow Gold frame. The cameo features a wonderful portrait which swivels inside the frame to display a window on the back, in which can be kept a photograph or a memento.
Cameos have been carved since ancient times and saw a revival during the Victorian era due to Queen Victorias fascination with the pieces. Bullmouth Shell was often used as a base for Cameos for its beautiful natural patterning which takes expert skill to carve.
