Description
This wonderful pair of antique Victorian Moonstone earrings are sculpted in the shape of the crescent moon. Nine bright moonstones are arrayed across the front of each, graduating in size as they approach the centre of the crescent. Each stone is claw-set into a beautiful 18ct Yellow Gold gallery.
Moonstones have a lovely ghostly hue and a luminous surface similar to that of Moonlight. They are said to be a magical stone providing a channel for prophecy, and a path to wisdom.
These are a beautiful set, steeped in history and glorious when worn.
