Description
A grand antique Victorian curb bracelet made up of solid pinchbeck links, gilded in 18ct yellow gold. It has a good, heavy weight to it and every second link has been engraved with textured detailing, creating a fabulous alternating pattern.
Its held by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp, chased with beautiful foliate patterns on both sides. The padlocks were often gifted by Victorian gentlemen to their loved ones during long periods of separation, as a symbol of the couples strong love and commitment to one another.
Its in excellent condition and a wonderful symbol of love and devotion that has been cherished across the centuries.
