This fabulous long Victorian guard chain is set with lovely fancy panels and links.
Set in 18ct Yellow Gold on Silver.
The lovely long chain can be worn twice around the neck or left as a long chain.
Each panel is beautifully engraved with little flowers.
During the Victorian days these were known as muff chains.
Muff chains were created to string through a muff of fur which kept a womans hands warm when she was outside, and held it when she was inside.
This also has a c catch added so you can add a pendant when placed around the neck twice, creating a lovely necklace.
Steeped in history, this chain is a wonderful piece.
