Description
An exquisite antique Victorian mourning locket from the mid-1800s featuring a domed centre encircled by a coiled love knot, representing eternal love.
Its modelled in golden pinchbeck and fitted with a secret locket on the reverse with a lock of brown hair preserved behind a glass window. It was likely kept in remembrance of a deceased loved one so that a piece of them was always kept close to the wearer’s heart.
Its a superb antique treasure and was clearly very beloved by its original owner and is a wonderful symbol of undying love.
