A sweet antique Victorian heart locket with the word Mizpah displayed across the centre. Its fashioned in 9ct gold back and front and has developed a lovely rosy patina with age.
Mizpah is a Hebrew word meaning Watchtower and became a popular motif during the Victorian era, given as a token of faithfulness. Its overlaid on top of an engraved passage from the Old Testament which reads: The lord watch between me & thee, when we are absent one from another.
Its highly collectable and the perfect gift for a loved one, with two sections within to store photographs or mementos.
