A wonderful antique Victorian pendant necklace showcasing a lovely Peacock pieced together with small vibrant coloured feathers which shimmer behind a glass window locket.
Victorian jewellery mirrored Queen Victorias life with the Romantic period producing decorative animal pieces such as Birds symbolising the monarchs sentimental side.
The pendant and chain are modelled in 9ct Yellow Gold which has turned a lovely rosy hue with age and fitted with a secure torpedo clasp. It is a splendid antique find and full of character.
