Description
An exquisite antique Victorian heart padlock charm fashioned in 9ct gold with fine foliate engraving across the back and front with a seductive deep blue sapphire cabochon bezel set in the centre weighing approx. 0.70ct.
Heart padlocks were often gifted to a loved one during a long period of separation. It was a symbol of the couples strong love and commitment to one another, reminding the recipient that they may be gone, but their heart will always be with them.
It would look perfect on the end of a gold chain or bracelet and is complete with the makers mark and 375/ 9ct stamp on the shackle.
