A beautiful jade princess necklace (Circa 1920) made up of thirty-six polished jade beads knotted together with a gold metal ring clasp at the end. The stones are smooth and glossy and have soft, pale green hue with the stones natural bands visible across the surface.
A stone of legend and mysticism, Jade has been prized throughout history for its striking colour and glossy surface. In East Asia it was named The stone of Heaven and was believed to bring wisdom, good fortune, and long life to those who possessed it.
