This fabulous Sterling Silver Paste necklace is Circa 1930.
Set with lovely old cut Paste stones that sparkle just like Diamonds.
35 Paste stones adorn this necklace.
Each stone is approx. 2ct in size.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
This is really a lovely necklace, steeped in English history.
The back of the gallery is set with beautiful detail, this is all original.
Complete with an extra safety chain.
This necklace would be perfect for a wedding, it looks stunning when worn!
