Description
A pretty vintage lavaliere necklace featuring a fabulous Art Nouveau style pendant bezel set with a purple amethyst heart in the centre (approx. 2.5ct) with five twinkling diamonds above leading into the chain. The pendant is embellished with scrolled motifs on each side with a fleur-de-lis on top and pointed droppers below, all layered in black and pink guilloche enamel with stripes and polka dot detailing.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The pendant and cable chain are fashioned in 18ct gold and feature London hallmarks on the reverse, dating to 1978. Its remained in pristine condition and would make the perfect gift for a loved one.
