This outstanding vintage aquamarine pendant necklace is bestowed with an enormous oval aquamarine pendant, weighing an impressive 62 carats (approx.) The aqua has a particularly striking glacier-green hue, with expertly cut facets around the back and sides that flicker beautifully, like light rippling on a clear green pool.
Aquamarine is the birthstone of March. It derives its name from its tranquil, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The large aqua is set in an 18ct white gold four-prong gallery, with open sides and is suspended from a long, entwined dropper, lined with twinkling diamonds, leading to a larger brilliant cut diamond in a bezel setting underneath (approx. 0.30ct total).
This is a truly magnificent vintage aquamarine pendant, boasting one of the largest and finest aquamarines weve exhibited. Its truly one-of-a-kind and is accompanied by a lovely 18ct gold wheat chain to display it on.
