A beautiful 1960s locket and chain modelled entirely in smooth 9ct yellow gold. The large locket is chased with fabulous scrolling patterns and forget me nots on the front with Birmingham hallmarks on the reverse, that date it to 1968.
Forget me nots are a symbol of love and remembrance. They were a popular motif on lockets containing images of loved ones as it signified, that they will never be forgotten and remain forever close to the wearer’s heart.
The long cable chain measures 24 inches in length and is fitted with a new safety chain at the clasp for added security when worn. Its complete with rims and windows within and is ready to house your beloved family photographs.
