Description
A marvellous vintage solitaire ring crowned with a smooth, glossy cabochon moonstone weighing approx. 7.6 carats. It has a silvery-blue tone and exhibits an enchanting inner glow that moves across the surface.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stones ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The stone is set in a raised 9ct gold claw mount that displays it high atop the finger. Its very striking and complete with Sheffield hallmarks within the band, dating to 1986.
