A sweet vintage bar brooch topped with an elegant swallow, depicted in flight with twinkling rose cut diamonds across the wings (approx. 0.50ct) and a line of blue sapphires down the back (approx. 0.30ct).
Swallows are known to mate for life and are said to always return home to the nest, making them a powerful symbol of everlasting love, joy and faithfulness. They were a popular romantic token and exchanged between lovers during long periods of separation.
The bar and swallow are both fashioned in 15ct yellow gold with white gold highlights along each wing. Its very pretty and would make the perfect gift for a loved one.
