Description

A marvellous coiled snake ring clad in green and black guilloche enamel scales that wrap around the entire body, leading to a diamond encrusted tail and head topped with pink marquise cut ruby eyes (Diamonds 0.32ct Rubies 0.20ct).

Guilloche enamel dates back to the 17th century and involves metal carefully worked by a lathe, or Rose Machine into a decorative pattern and overlaid with a colourful enamel to create a striking and highly detailed work of art.

The coiled band has a clever, expandable design allowing the ring to increase in size to fit the finger comfortably. Its handcrafted in 18ct gold with sterling silver highlights and features the makers mark and stone weights behind the head.

Its a remarkable piece, very well made and looks magnificent coiled around the finger.

We recommend you insure for 5,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
